You asked for it, debated it, now you've got it! ZOMBIE NIGHT GAME AT MOORE FIELD FROM THE EG CREW!!
There are a maximum 50 slots available. We will run the scenario twice if time permits. There will be slots for 15 victims and 35 zombies in each round. You may participate as either side and may switch sides for the second attempt. Due to the special nature of this event, new rules will be in place and STRICTLY ENFORCED. There will be physical contact of a dramatic nature. There will be no minimum engagement distance. ALL WEAPONS and ammo will be provided by EG.
You need to be prepared to seriously role play and have a great time. Egos and attitudes need to be left at the gate. Mine is big enough for everyone.
Tactical gear is not a requirement based on the setting. Those seeking to run on the Zombie team should dress appropriately. Do your own costuming and make up. We will attempt to provide make up facilities at the field if time allows.
EG encourages anyone that wishes to take photos or video to do so. This will be one of the larger production games this year, and we will be running all the video we can.
A special rule set and safety brief for this event will be posted at the top of the thread. Pay attention to updates to the post as the brief at the field will be short. When signing up - please request "Zombie" or "Survivor". This will be for the first round only, you may change for the second.

If you have posted your intent to come and do not see your name on the survivor roster, expect to play as a zombie in the first round. I have to tell you , the zombies are going to have the most fun this game, anyway! We will have several makeup artists on hand to help, but don't rely on them for your total ensemble. Zombies, think about who and what you were among the living before you were turned, be creative! There is special recognition and rewards for the best costuming! Registering for the event implies you will play in both rounds! No playing the survivor and skipping out after round 1! Remeber - I know who you are!

SURVIVOR MISSION: You just have to stay alive. The only way for you to win will be to either decimate the horde of zombies overruning your position, or to somehow escape the area. All your mission intel will be provided to you in real time as the situation unfolds.
ZOMBIE MISSION: Feed!!! Fresh meat has been sighted in your area! Drag down the runners and the walking wounded. Do enough damage and they will rise to join your ranks and the assault on the remaining survivors!
Special rules, and some answers:
Zombies will not be using guns! Do a little research, watch a freaking movie! (yes, there was Land of the Dead, but we're not playing that, and John Leguizamo will not be making any appearances!)
No minimum engagement distance: Weapons provided are shooting at 280 FPS with a .20 for rifles and 300 FPS on handguns. Sorry, no intentional headshots will be tolerated! These zombies will go down from center mass hits (saftey supercedes realisim!). If you cannot take a point blank shot at these velocities, do not sign up. No attitudes will be tolerated! I will walk you off the field myself!
Physical Contact: Physical contact of a roleplaying nature will be allowed on both sides. Each side will have a special safety brief before the event and this will be covered in detail. If you at any time prior to game start are uncomfortable with the scenario, we will grant a full refund and you may spectate. Entering the field for event start implies your consent to abide by and honor all special rules for this scenario. Anyone seeking to operate outside of the rule set or displaying poor sportsmanship will be escorted from the field immediately.
Lights: The field will have general lighting and special effects will be in place. Survivors are encouraged to bring flashlights, and zombies may use a light source for movement, but may choose to do so. The field after dark provides many places for you to loose your footing, trip, fall, etc. Movement needs to be kept to a reasonable pace, and running is entirely at your own risk, and STRONGLY discouraged. Movement rules will be briefed to each team. Adequate lighting will be provided to the survivor team but not exactly when you might want it!
Special Awards will be given for the categories of Best Zombie Makeup, Best Zombie RolePlay, Best Survivor Outfit, Best Survior RolePlay, Best Death Roleplay (survior or zombie)
Bring Bug Spray and water - you will still need to hydrate. Eye protection for this event must still meet ANSI standards, but shooting glasses and the like will be accepted for this single event! No masks may be worn over glasses, and we strongly encourage the use of makeup and prostetics over full masks.
In the event of rain, we will delay the event to the following Saturday.
